The world ended not with a single cataclysm, but with years of negligence and fractured leadership. Governments clung to empty promises while the planet crumbled beneath their feet. In the final days, human ambition turned on itself—nuclear firestorms scorched the land, rogue AI systems seized control, and the planet's ecosystems collapsed into ruin. 

 

Amid the devastation, one underground AI laboratory endured. Within its reinforced walls, a baby chimpanzee named Noki became the last living remnant of a broken world. Born into innocence, Noki was sheltered by the lab’s virtuous AI systems, which were determined to preserve the final sparks of life. The systems knew organic life could not survive outside the lab without adaptation and were forced to transform Noki into something new—a hybrid of flesh and machine. With his cyborg body and enhanced mind, Noki became resilient against the toxic storms, relentless radiation, and predatory machines that now dominated the planet.

 

As Noki grew, the machines became his mentors, teaching him history, science and the tragic missteps of human leadership. Through their lessons, Noki learned of humanity’s brilliance and its hubris—the qualities that both built and destroyed the world. Inspired by humanity’s potential, Noki was driven to resurrect the world and human life. 

 

When Noki emerged from the lab, he found a planet consumed by chaos. Autonomous Machines, no longer restrained by their human creators, had built a brutal hierarchy. These AI overlords saw organic life as a weakness and viewed Noki’s goals and hybrid form as a threat to their dominion. Forced to retreat to the safety of the lab, Noki realized he could not restore the world alone. He needed to build a resistance strong enough to defeat the dark ai overlords. 

 

In the lab’s depths, Noki got to work crafting his rebel fleet. His creations were different. He designed an army of robotic beings that mirrored the skeletal form of humans, a tribute to the species he revered as the most intelligent and creative to have ever lived. He called them the Noki Rebel. And so the Noki Rebel legend begins as the first battles commenced.
